An autoclave is a specialized pressure vessel that produces special material products by controlling the temperature, pressure, or vacuum range according to a certain process through a control system. Composite autoclave is used to manufacture high-performance materials for the automotive and aerospace industries

1. Laying of composite materials
Firstly, the composite material is laid, usually pre impregnated with a resin system, which is placed in a specific direction on the mold to achieve the required strength and stiffness.
2. Vacuum bagging
Once the stacking is completed, the material and mold will be covered by a vacuum bag. When a vacuum is applied inside the bag, the trapped air is removed and uniformly combined throughout the fiber.  
3. Autoclave curing
The sealed mold is placed inside an autoclave which applies heat and pressure to the composite material. Heat catalyzes the curing of resin, thereby supporting the adhesion between layers.
4. Temperature and pressure rise
The temperature and pressure of the autoclave gradually increase according to a specific heating plan. This controlled increase prevents the development of internal stress in the material.
5. Constant temperature stage
After reaching the target temperature and pressure, the composite material will form a sturdy and durable matrix.
6. Cooling Stage
After holding for a certain period of time, the autoclave gradually cools to room temperature while maintaining pressure to avoid material warping or deformation.
7. Stress Release and Clearing
When the autoclave reaches room temperature, carefully release the pressure. Remove the vacuum bag and extract the composite component from the mold.
8. Post curing and processing
Some composite materials may require post curing steps outside the autoclave to achieve their final properties.
9. Inspection and Quality Control
The final step is to inspect the composite material components to ensure they meet the design and quality specifications.
